first loves

no matter what happened to end the relationship or what happened during, i think its impossible to not be fond of them forever. maybe you dont talk everyday or see each other often, but when you do its not awkward or weird seeing them with someone new. youre happy for them and its really hard to think of anything negative. everyone says youll never forget your first love and i have come to realize that. your first love will always be one of your favorite memories, a great story to tell later in life, and they will never forget that orange tingly lipgloss you wore for maybe a month five years ago. neither of you can forget the little things even though youve been with others since them. your first love will always be with you and maybe even a part of you. its great to be able to look back on it and see all this and know it was great, it just wasnt forever and thats okay.
