lets hear it for the douche bags

my best friend and her boyfriend just broke up last week. theyve been down this road before but theyve always gotten back together and made up. they were both a little buzzed and not really in their right minds but words were said and you just cant take them back. she told me she was so over it he called her a slut and a joke and i dont blame her. if someone called me stuff like that theres no way id take him back. but like any true guy he decided to text and ask how she was a few days later, now we all know that doing something like this can mean you really care or you just want to be an ever-present thought in her mind. this just leads to mixed feelings and she thought maybe they would be on amicable terms and tried texting him today. it was one of those hey hey sup nothing conversations where there is no conversation. that broke her heart. he was so solid in their breakup that he had changed his facebook to single before she had even gotten on there. he deleted her and her roommates and friends. thats mature. she called me and was telling me how this is upsetting her and i dont blame her. she wants him back and there is nothing you can hear to change your mind. you know it wont be the same if you get him back and you know it certainly wont be the same with someone else. nothing makes you feel better until you realize that it wasnt that great for you. it breaks my heart to know how hard she has it right now and then to add this to it. im stressing out for her and he just treats it like he has to pick up the pizza box from last night and put it in the trash out back. he has no feelings about that pizza box and has none for her or the relationship they had. how can someone be that cold and easily over it?
